A beautiful song by a beautiful man
In the process of building a new website with these fair hands that go tappady tap tap tap. Seem to be relying on Nick Drakes wise and wonderful words to get me through. God bless him. Please enjoy, if you like that sort of thing.

Boisterous Betsey and the Blue Bird. *NB this later became Betsey Wren and the Satin Thief
For those of you that know me, will know that I've been working on a book for the past 9 months. Finally, I am nearing my last edit - once that's done - publishers be ware. I've now had time to do the cover and illustrate two pieces, one the ghastly faux beaver and secone the shoe telephone. Still not sure as to whether illustrate the whole 40,000 words or just keep it as a written novel - only time will tell I presume. Anyway I'll be adding more stuff to do with my labour of love soon, but for now, please enjoy the cover and a drawing.

Jarvis Cockatoo
Jarvis Cocker combined with a cockatoo; a character from my up and coming book 'Betsey Wren and the Satin Thief', a story of a charming Bower Bird and a curious, young, vivacious woman - keep those eyes peeled.

A rogue surprise
Having always been obsessed by the hair of the spring onion, it became apparent that one; one day; would feature as a character in one of my drawings. After being widowed only three weeks ago, this lonely spring onion ordered an onion bride as a bonny companion. Fate would have it that she should not be succulent to the eye, however, he being such a stubborn old mule decided that he had made his bed, and eager for it not to be such a lonely bed, decided he would have to lie in it, with her...

Classic Cottages - Naturists
I was recently commissioned to do a couple of drawings for the Classic Cottages Journal, designed by the wonderful Kate Tregoning, and written by Pete Kirby who is slightly bonkers. The main illustration was based on Naturists, hence the mermaids playing nakedly and coquettishly in the tide. The other was depicting a tiny little sand athlete, the sand hopper - Who I've now fallen in love with, left my life in Dalston and moved to the Desert with; it suits.

The AOI
And now for something completely different
Hate. Upon releasing my tender thoughts I clench my robust fist. As we speak, unforgiving demons seep from my every pore, I cleanse my thoughts and release my fist. Purity trickles into my consciousness and I am reunited with a positive, indignant stance. My lips purse. I close my eyes then gently caress my warm and moist bottom lip, the heat pulsates. My thoughts turn to all things dear to me. The feeling hits me for 6. Love.

Stella Magazine, The Telegrath - Secret Liasons

Yet again, fate had landed me with another splendid art director to work with, this time going by the name of Jason Morris from The Telegrath.
The commission was to illustrate an article about 'the wife' seeking glamour and escapism from her loving familytaking her straight into the arms of an explicit, hot, sex affair, obviously all foreign to me. One can only imagine the scenario . . . One full page image and two drop ins were required, here are my favourites.

English Pen drawing

Howdy!
Firstly, happy new year to y'all. Secondly, having finally found some sacred time to upload work from the past 6 months, I thought I'd well and truly take advantage of that fact. So, in drawings terms back to firstly, here you will find a drawing I was asked to do for English Pen promoting their Autumn events. English Pen are a literary group who support writers and host wholesome events, they're website is: www.englishpen.org . Check them out - they're an extremely good bunch. The artwork was based on free speech hence the reason why the speech characters are trying to break from the literary jail.
